Solar Community Success Story
Situation:
A long-time friend of the Snell and Walter families, this retired Poway resident, needed a way to not only reduce her bills but to maintain consistent monthly expenses that would remain affordable for years to come. With a growing extended family and grandkids now visiting often, her energy usage had only increased. It was a no-brainer to go solar!
Solution:
After close review of her budget and usage, we decided to go with small 3.6 kW system that would easily offset her usage for daily activities, pool, and visiting grandkids. With several more roof faces, there’s plenty of space for additional panels in the future. Installing 12 Silfab 300 panels took no time at all, even with a second story roof.
Savings:
With only a small average monthly bill of $132 pre-solar, we estimate that with all electric usage offset, she will save almost $1,500 every year. After taking advantage of the 30% tax credit, she can expect her system to pay for itself within 6 years. With a 25-year production and workmanship warranty on all her equipment, that’s 19 years of pure profit!
